Congratulations to the Tusky Valley volleyball team as they defeated Buckeye Trail 25-15, 25-12, 25-22 to capture the district championship for the 10th consecutive season. |
| Barr Sets Single-Season Passing Record! |
|
Congratulations to TVHS senior Nick Barr as he broke the single-season passing mark in Trojans' 56-28 victory over Indian Valley on October 31. Barr, who threw for 209 yards in the game, ended the season completing 160 of 285 passes for 2134 yards and 15 touchdowns. Congratulations Nick and the entire Trojan offense on setting the new record!

| Krysty Captures Eastern District Honors! |

Congratulations to TVHS junior Lauren Krysty who was named to the Division II Eastern District first team on Tuesday, October 27th. Krysty, who was also a member of the Tri-County League first team, recorded the third lowest season average in school history this year. Senior Katherine Mansill and sophomore Natasha Tucke were named to the Eastern District second team. Congratulations girls! |
| Brown Captures PAC Player of the Year Honors! |

Congratulations to senior volleyball player Sarah Brown as she has been named the 2009 PAC Player of the Year. Brown, who will continue her volleyball career at Xavier University, led the Trojans with 295 kills and 48 aces. She was also second on the team with 68 blocks and 219 digs. Juniors Olivia Higl & Shannon Watson were names to the PAC first team. Higl led the Trojans with 309 digs while Watson led the team with 71 blocks. Gabbie Davis (636 assists) was earned honorable mention honors.

| TVLSD Installs Hand Sanitizers to Combat Flu! |

The Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools have installed hand sanitizers in all district buildings to help students cope with flu season. A total of 40 hand sanitzers have been installed in student-friendly areas. Students are encouraged to use the sanitizer or wash hands often especially when entering high traffic areas such as the computer labs or lunch rooms. | Group Recognized With Trojan Pride Award! |

The October 2009 Trojan Pride Award was presented to Todd and Amy Price and Phil Carpenter, coordinators of the “GO ’09 Community Impact Day” sponsored by New Pointe Community Church. With the coordination and assistance from Mr. and Mrs. Price and Mr. Carpenter, approximately 50 volunteers helped on Sunday, August 2, 2009 to spruce up the grounds of all four school buildings, including trimming shrubs and trees, weeding flowerbeds, spreading mulch, and painting playground equipment. A team also spent several hours staining the home-side stadium bleachers. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of ALL of the volunteers who helped make a positive difference that day! |
| Volleyball Team Wraps Up Perfect Regular Season! |

Congratulations to the TVHS volleyball team as they finished the regular season with a perfect record of 22-0. The Lady Trojans, who are Ohio's top-ranked Division III team, defeated TCC 25-16, 25-18 and Coshocton 25-17, 25-15 to wrap up the regular season. This was the 5th perfect regular season in Tusky Valley volleyball history.

| Volleyball Team Claims PAC Title! |

Congratulations to the Tusky Valley volleyball team (19-0, 13-0) as they wrapped up the outright PAC championship on October 13th by defeating Indian Valley 25-8, 25-12, 25-13 on Tuesday night. The victory gave the Trojans their 14th PAC championship in volleyball and their 12th PAC title in the last 13 years!

Congratulations to TVHS senior Shelby Cihon as she was named the 2009 Homecoming Queen on Friday night! The Trojans went on to defeat Timken 38-12 in the Homecoming game. |
