TVMS Student Council Completes Patio Project!
The TVMS Student Council recently completed a community service school beautification project. The fifteen students in grades 6-8 used money from various fund-raising projects to purchase plants, mulch and paving bricks. They solicited the help of Ackerman Services to excavate an area in front of TVMS. Employees of Ackerman Services then supervised as the students created a brick patio. Next the students planted a variety of plants and mulched along the front of the building. They finished the project by purchasing an engraved stone bench to place in front of an existing tree in the center of the patio. The students learned numerous new skills and got to see many real life applications of math and science.

TVHS Students Participate in Heart Pillow Project!
Students in Lin Sidel's Life Skills class recently participated in the Heart Pillow Project. The Heart Pillow Project was created to ease the pain of breast cancer patients. Mr. Cappetto is in Tuscarawas Valley for a short visit interviewing local veterans. He provided students with a 35 minute media presentation, followed by commentary on his project, and comments by Tusky Valley technician Chris Lewis who is currently a member of National Guard.
