I am thrilled with the continued progress and achievement of our students! Although we recognized a slight drop in the number of state indicators achieved this year, our district rating remains “Effective.” This is the second highest rating possible, and it is one that is very challenging to attain. It is also exciting to note that our district’s performance index score continues to climb with more students scoring in the proficient, accelerated, and advanced ranges. Our district also met the federally-required measurement of Adequate Yearly Progress in Reading and Mathematics for the second year in a row!
None of this would be possible without the hard work and positive focus of our entire staff, the backing of supportive parents and families, and our students’ desire to make the most of their opportunity to learn and grow. Our staff is fully focused on helping each student be the BEST that he/she can be, and we are committed to being a district of EXCELLENCE! We never want to be satisfied with “second best” or “average,” but to continuously set our sights high and unlock the unlimited learning potential of our students! If we do that right, I believe the “Excellent with Distinction” rating will follow. My best wishes to all of our students, families, and staff as we focus together on STUDENTS…all that they are, all that they can become!
