Girls' Basketball Seniors Honored!
	The Tusky Valley girls basketball team celebrated senior night on Monday, January 28 as the Lady Trojans defeated the Fairless Falcons 49-37. The Lady Trojans were led by Sara Tucke's 16 points as they avenged a Decmber loss to the Falcons. Seniors Pam Wojcicki and Laura Norman were honored before the game.

Grimes Shines at Power of the Pen!

On Saturday, January 26th TVMS hosted the district Power of the Pen tournament with 15 different schools from 4 counties in attendance. Shawna Grimes placed 1st overall at the tournament which included 86 8th graders. She had to write three creative stories in a limited time period and received excellent scores for all her stories. Shawna will compete in the regional tournament at Wadsworth Middle School on Saturday, March 15. Congratulations and good luck Shawna!

Crilley Named Homecoming King!
	Congratulations to TVHS senior Tommy Crilley on being named the 2008 Winter Homecoming King. Crilley was named king at last Friday night's basketball game as the Trojans defeated the Tuslaw Mustangs 68-58. Crilley was escorted by THVS senior Carlie Campbell. Congratulations Tommy!

COSI on Wheels Visits TVIS!
	COSI on wheels visited TVIS earlier this month. It was a great day full of fun, exciting learning opportunities. All of the classes had an opportunity to participate in many exciting hand-on activities. A big thank you to the Tusky Valley PTO and the volunteers who helped the students at TVIS "Launch into Space!" Click here for photo galleries of the event.

TVHS Students Selected for OU Honor Choir!

Congratulations to Katie Boyd, Erin Emley, and Logan Harper for being selected to the Ohio University Honor Choir. Students were judged on their preparation of a solo, sight reading ability, and tonal memory. The Ohio University Honor Choir is comprised of approximately one hundred and fifty choral students from Ohio. Honor Choir participants a prepare challeging, collegiate level choral music. The participants then traveled to Athens for an intensive two day rehearsal session with the Ohio University music faculty. The weekend culminated with a performance at the Templeton Blackburn Memorial Auditorium on January 13th..
