| Bolivar 2nd Graders Hold Quilt
Show |
 |
Second Grade students at Bolivar Elementary recently read Luka's
Quilt. The story is about a young girl whose grandmother
makes a quilt for her. The story is written in the Hawaiian
Tradition and students learn to understand and respect the ideas
of others. Students were asked to bring in a quilt of their
own and explain how old it is, who it belongs to, and why it
is special. The quilts came from Mrs. Ward's, Mrs. Shull's,
Mrs. Duvall's, and Mrs. Hughes' classes. Mrs. Pierson arranged
the quilts to be displayed in the library for a gallery walk.

on the dugouts began the first week of September and
is being led by TVHS custodian Willard Himes. The brick for the

towards the cost of labor they should contact Willard Himes at
the high school! |
| TVHS Students to Participate
in the OMUN! |
 |
Students at Tusky
Valley High School will be participating in the Ohio
Model United Nations program this December in Columbus.
The program brings together students from all over the state in
an attempt to gain a better understanding of how the United Nations
works. The school became interested in the program thanks to TVHS
junior Erin Emley who approached the school about the program.
The participants will need to raise approximately $210 per student
for the program. Anyone interested in making a donation should
contact Mr. Love at the high school.
