Congratulations to the 8th grade boys' and girls' basketball teams as they claimed PAC championships!

Congratulations to TVHS wrestlers Luke Wojcicki (103), Eric Lindsay (135), Ricky Craven (152), Nick Herron (160), and Mark Wright (171) on advancing to the 2007 district wrestling tournament.

The TVHS Band sponsored a rigatoni dinner on Friday, February 23 at the Bolivar American Legion. The dinner will included rigatoni (with or without meatballs), tossed salad, bread, bevarage, and dessert. The cost was $6.00 for people ages 13 and up, $3.00 for people ages 6-12, and children 5 and under were free.

All proceeds will go towards the purchase of new band uniforms!

The 8th grade Power of the Pen team recently competed at the district tournament at Dover Middle School. Power of the Pen is a creative writing tournament where students are given writing prompts and then given only 40 minutes to write the best story they can about that topic. Students must write three different times throughout the morning of the tournament. The team placed 2nd overall (out of 12 teams) and Tyler Kubina placed 3rd individually (out of 64 students). In addition, TVMS is the only school Tuscarawas and Holmes counties to have all six members qualify onto the regional tournament, keeping their team intact! The regional tournament will be held at Wadsworth Middle School on Saturday, March 17. The six members of the team are Pati Beans, Jacob Dornhecker, Jordan Johnson, Abbie Kahler, Tyler Kubina and Ethan Weisgarber.

Tuscarawas Valley first graders celebrated their 100th day of school on Friday, February 2.
